Toledo Bend Lake Fishing Report - April 2011

The lake water is stained and 65 – 73 degrees and 7.32’ low. Largemouth bass are excellent on The lake water ismelon Ribbit frogs with red pearl bellies around shoreline vegetation early, and later on The lake water ismelon/gold and The lake water ismelon/purple Texas rigged Yamamoto weightless worms. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on Rinky Dinks and ¼oz. Rat L Traps on points in the north end of the lake. The Crappie are good on shiners and 1/16oz. pink/white and black/chartreuse Roadrunners in 4 – 10 feet. Bream are good on worms and Berkley Power Maggots. Channel and blue Catfish are good on prepared bait and liver in shallow flats and the mouths of creeks in 6 – 12 feet. Yellow Catfish are fair on live bait.
