Latest Toledo Bend Lake Fishing Report July 2010

Toledo Bend Lake Water is stained and 87 degrees. Lake is 3.82' low. Black bass are fair using redbug soft-plastic worms. The Striped bass fishing is fair on live minnows and silver-striper jigs. The White bass fishing is good on silver spoons in the river. The Crappie fishing is fair on live minnows after dark. Bream are good on crickets and night-crawlers. Channel catfish and blue catfish are good using trotlines with live bait, stink-bait, liver, and hearts in about 30 feet of water. Yellow catfish are slow at this time.

Lake Meredith Fishing Report - July

Lake Meredith water is lightly-stained and at 80 degrees. The Lake is 79.00 low. Largemouth bass are good on live-bait, top water, shad colored crank-baits, and blackish chartreuse jigs. Also Texas rigged soft plastics are good along the grass lines and any rocky points. The Crappie fishing is also good on jigs and live-minnows. The White bass fishing is good on live-bait and shad–colored crank baits. The Smallmouth bass fishing is good on live-bait and chrome colored jerk-baits along any rocky points. The Walleye fishing is good on live-bait and bottom-bouncers. The Channel cats are good using live bait.

The Lake is 0.66' below pool level. The Largemouth bass are only fair on wacky-rigged watermelon/red Senkos. Lake Ray Roberts water is clear and at 85 to 88 degrees F. Crappie fishing is excellent over brush piles on Ghost or Blue-Ghost pattern Bobby Garland Slab-Slayers. White bass fishing is excellent on clear Tiny-Torpedoes. Catfish are good on prepared baits in 6 to 8 feet over your baited holes.
