Lake Lavon Texas Bass Fishing Reports

The water is stained and 66–73 degrees F. and 4.33’ low. Largemouth Bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, spinner-baits and shallow crank-baits. White bass are good on slabs. The Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs around bridge columns. Catfish are fair to good on cut shad and night-crawlers.

White bass are good on Li’l Fishies and spoons in the river. The Crappie are fair on chartreuse jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

The water is lightly stained and 68 – 71 degrees F. and 8.36’ low. Largemouth Bass are good on soft plastic worms and lizards around shoreline grass in 1 – 4 feet, and on Carolina rigged lizards and French fries on main lake flats. The Crappie are fair on shiners and shad jigs around willows in 4 – 8 feet. Catfish are good on juglines baited with prepared bait.

TX Fishing Reports - Lake Amistad

The water is clear and 68 – 74 degrees F. and 0.27’ high. Largemouth Bass are very good on crank-baits, topwater, Rat L Traps, spinner-baits, Senkos, and jigs. Striped bass are good on top water and Red Fins. White bass are fair on crank-baits and live minnows. The Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are good on cheese-bait, shrimp, and night-crawlers over baited holes in 6 – 25 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch at night. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

The water is fairly clear and 67–72 degrees F. and 3.28’ low. Largemouth Bass are fair to good on square bill crank-baits, Texas rigs, chatterbaits and drop shot rigs. Females are on beds or cruising in a post spawn pattern, so target anywhere from 1–15 feet. The Crappie are fair to good on live minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on cut shad over shallow mud flats.
