Lake Buchanan Fishing Report

The water is clear and 64 – 67 degrees F. and 10.86’ low. Largemouth bass are good on pumpkin/chartreuse tail Whacky Sticks, white/chartreuse Terminator spinner-baits, and albino/blue soft jerk-baits along drop–offs of points in 5 – 10 feet. Striped bass are fair to good vertically jigging silver Perk live minnows and pearl ¼oz. Blade Runners, and tight lining live bait from Flag Island to the Willows in 25 – 35 feet. White bass are fair to good on Bleeding Shiner Tiny Traps, 2” Spoiler Shads, and live live minnows in the upper end of the lake in 15 – 20 feet. The Crappie are fair to good on live live minnows. Channel catfish are good on live bait. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on juglines baited with live bait.
