2010 Latest Lake Whitney Fishing Report

Lake Whitney water is somewhat murky at this time and is 1.89' below pool level. The Largemouth bass fishing is rather slow right now. The Striped bass fishing has been fair on live minnows and using striper jigs. The White bass are pretty much fair on live minnows. Crappie fishing is fairly good on live minnows and tube jigs (blue). Catfish are fair using stinky bait and night crawlers worms.

Lake Palestine Fishing Report March, 2010

The water on Lake Palestine is somewhat lightly stained and the current water temperature is 51–58 degrees F, with the lake at 0.67' above normal pool level. The Black bass are fair to good using Carolina-rigs, crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on live minnows or your favorite jigs. Hybrid striper's are fair on slabs - live shad or Sassy-Shad. White bass fishing is good on live minnows or slabs. Catfish are only fair on a prepared bait plus chartreuse night crawlers using Worm Glo.

Toledo Bend Lake Fishing Report March 2010

Toledo Bend Water is stained and 52 degrees. The lake is 0.27' above pool. Black bass are good on watermelon / watermelon red soft plastics, spinner baits, and Rat L Traps. The striped bass are only fair with live bait. White bass fishing is fair on live minnows and white spinner baits. The Crappie are fairly good on live minnows and reddish tube jigs. Bream are good fishing with worms. Channel catfish and blue catfish are fair with frozen shrimp / stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow at this time.

Lake Fork Fishing Report Update

Lake Fork. Try the fishing in Running Creek - suggest useing weightless senkos, white spinner baits. When fishing Birch Creek - use a shallow water red crank bait. In White Oak Bay - try useing Texas rigged worms, jigs in creeks. In Glade Creek - use spinners, senkos along bank.
Select a variety of watermelon green plastic worms which seem to work well during the hotter months fished in grass. Early morning top water baits are just about anything that floats. Normally Poppers, Prop Baits, Flukes, or just about any Stick Bait.

The Black bass are good on crank baits and green pumpkin plastics, also spinner baits.
Lake Sam Rayburn water is stained right now at 54 degrees.
The lake is at 0.44' above normal pool.
White bass fishing is good on watermelon jigs.
Crappie fishing is fair on green tube jigs/live minnows. Fish Bream with worms. Fish Catfish on frozen shrimp and cut bait.
