The Lake Conroe water is fairly clear at this writing; It is .23 ft.high. Largemouth bass report: Fair on watermelon red/dark red soft plastics, also try crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. Lake Conroe striped bass are fair with minnows and chartreuse striper fishing type jigs. Lake Conroe crappie: fair on live minnows and blue tube type jigs. Catfish are okay on stinkbait, frozen shrimp and live minnows.
